"At the heart of my work is a belief that every part of you is welcome. Therapy is a journey we walk together, with open hands and open hearts, moving toward healing and connection."

Meet June W.

I’m June W., a licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed clinical social worker who helps people heal from within, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with themselves and others. For over 30 years, I have been providing mental health services to both hearing and Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals and their families as a mental health specialist.

Today, I continue that commitment as a specialist to serve the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community while expanding my work to support a broader community through Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO).

What can I expect during a therapy session?

Therapy is a collaborative process. It’s not about me telling you what to do, but about us exploring together. In our sessions, you can expect:

  • A safe, non-judgmental space where every part of you is welcome.

  • Time to share what brought you to therapy and what you hope to change or heal.

  • Gentle guidance to help you notice patterns, explore emotions, and build new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Each session lasts about 50 minutes. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable, always respecting your boundaries. Please arrive on time.

What is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy model developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz. It’s based on the idea that we all carry different “parts” within us, such as inner voices, emotions, or roles. Some parts protect us, some hold pain, and some help us thrive.

IFS helps you:

  • Understand your parts with curiosity and compassion.

  • Heal parts of yourself that carry burdens from past experiences.

  • Strengthen your “Self” — the calm, centered, wise part of you that can lead with clarity.

IFS is widely used for trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational struggles, but it’s also helpful for anyone seeking deeper self-understanding and growth.

What can I expect during an IFS therapy session?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an evidence-based approach that helps you understand your “inner parts” — the different voices, emotions, and roles you carry. In an IFS session, you can expect:

  • A guided exploration of your inner world, with compassion and curiosity.

  • Time to connect with your “Self” — the calm, grounded center of who you are.

  • Support to help you unburden parts of yourself that carry pain, shame, or protective roles.

The goal of IFS is to bring more balance and self-leadership into your life so you can live with greater clarity, confidence, and compassion.

What can I expect during an IFIO therapy session?

Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) is a way of using IFS principles in couples therapy. In an IFIO session, you and your partner can expect:

  • A structured but compassionate space to explore difficult patterns.

  • Tools to help you communicate more clearly and listen with empathy.

  • Guidance to heal past hurts, rebuild trust, and reconnect with one another.

The goal is to strengthen your relationship by helping each partner understand their own inner world while also creating deeper intimacy and connection.
